Check Out Ford Aspire VS Toyota Innova Crysta In A Drag Race [VIDEO]

The entry-level Ford cars are quite popular among the buyers for their potent and punchy diesel engines. Ford customers in India like their diesel engines over petrol powered models. Ford Aspire is one of the popularly known sub-4-meter-sedans offered by the automaker in our market. It rubs shoulders with the likes Honda Amaze and Maruti Swift. Here’s a quick drag race between Ford Aspire and Toyota Innova Crysta. Check it out to know the amazing results. 

This video has been uploaded by a YouTube channel named as Drive King. In total, two roads of the drag race have been conducted. One can see in the video that in the first round, Ford Aspire takes the lead as soon as the race starts and remains in the first position till the finish line. In the first round, Ford Aspire wins the race by a huge margin. In the second attempt, Ford Aspire again effortlessly overtakes the Toyota MPV in just fraction of seconds and wins the race like the first round. The Toyota Innova Crysta is powered by a 2.4-litre turbo diesel mill, which churns out 148bhp of power and 343 Nm of peak torque. The Innova Crysta you see here comes coupled to a 6-speed MT. On the other hand, Ford Aspire is propelled by a 1.5-litre four-pot oil burner the produces power and torque outputs of 100bhp and 220 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT.

As one can see that Toyota Innova Crysta is a lot more powerful than Ford Aspire. It produces 50bhp more power and 120 Nm more torque than the Ford sedan. But, Aspire is much lighter than the Toyota Innova Crysta. This was one of the main reasons behind the win of Ford Aspire. Since the Ford Aspire is lighter in weight, it accelerates much faster than the Toyota MPV. Nevertheless, if we compare the top-speeds of both vehicles than Innova will easily defeat Aspire.
