Tata Nexon is quickly becoming a popular choice in the compact SUV segment due to its stellar safety rating and affordable prices

We live during times where you can get pretty much everything delivered to your home in a few hours or a few days at the most. But in the automotive sector, buyers continue to be plagued by delivery delays and it is worse if a product witnesses a higher than expected surge in demand. In cases like these, buyers have to end up waiting for weeks or months which test’s the customer’s patience. The Tata Nexon is facing this very issue as the waiting period for some variants have increased to more than three months.

To ensure that angry customers don’t end up cancelling their bookings, Tata Motors has tried to control the damage by offering one year of extended OE warranty and roadside assistance for Nexon buyers. This offer is applicable for customers who have been waiting for their Nexon for over a month. Also, it should be noted that Tata’s offer to pacify Nexon buyers hasn’t been announced publicly. Customers are being contacted directly through text messages to notify them about the rewards they will receive for their patience. The messages are not being sent to everyone simultaneously, instead of being sent out in a phased manner. Some customers claim that they have been waiting for their Nexon for over 70 days already. Customers have also said that they got a call from their dealer, while others say that Tata sent them an SMS. And perhaps not surprisingly, some claim that after haggling with their dealer every day, they were offered this free offer.

The Tata Nexon has seen a rise in demand in the compact SUV segment, with its 5-star safety rating from Global NCAP becoming a big reason for this increase. The underlying theme of supporting local manufacturers among the masses could have been another factor for the increased demand for Tata vehicles.
