Check out this video of a dancing Mahindra Scorpio, which left a policeman speechless as he witnesses the action live.

Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most popular SUVs in India of all time. First introduced in 2002, he Scorpio is known for its ruggedness and macho nature. Of course, there are also plenty of modified examples on the road, some more outrageous than others. Here, we have a video of the former kind!

The video above, posted on YouTube channel ‘The food vloggers’, shows a modified Mahindra Scorpio in the standing in the middle of the street, somewhere near Jama Masjid. The people inside the SUV are playing “Aaj Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai” quite loudly. Perhaps this is a custom fitment on the car – loud music system with wedding party songs – and this particular Scorpio might be a regular performer at wedding processions. The Scorpio then starts dancing! The front end of the car bounces, and the onlookers are highly amused. There’s a police car parked nearby, and one policeman standing outside of it. He looks at the bouncing SUV with a perplexed emotion on his face.

This particular model is an old Mahindra Scorpio (2002-2006), the first pre-facelift model. This version was available with a 2.6-litre turbo-diesel engine, and a Renault-sourced, naturally aspirated, 2.1-litre petrol engine. The latter was not very popular and was thus eventually discontinued. To make a car bounce like this, people use hydraulic lift kits. A powerful hydraulic pump is used to push suspension fluid into the cylinder with force, thus forcing the dampers to be pushed outwards/upwards. When performed masterfully, the entire front end (or whichever end has the hydraulic kit) of the car can be made to jump. Sadly, such modifications can compromise the safety of the vehicle if not installed carefully, and are illegal as per the Government of India.

Although we can’t deny that this modified Scorpio is quite entertaining to watch, we hope that the owner doesn’t take this vehicle out on public roads much, as this vehicle could be a potential safety hazard on the road. Also, the cops might seize such cars due to the illegality of these modifications.
