The new vehicle is designed by the leading automotive designer, Dilip Chhabria (DC) and gets a wide variety of high-end technology, convenience and comfort features. With a view to boosting sales of the MPV to elite clients, Chhabria took inspiration from the chauffeur-driven one-off cars made by the likes Audi or Mercedes-Benza and also wanted to offer a similar range of features in a price range of INR 20 - 25 lakh. So well appointed is the new interiors that he even remarks that the DC Designed Marazzo, which is priced between INR 20 lakh to INR 25 lakh, gets a better cabin than an INR 1.5-crore Audi A8.

First introduced along with the launch of the Marazzo in September 2018, the DC interior package can be specified at any of Mahindra's passenger car showrooms. The kit is being offered as a dealer level modification with a premium of INR 5.25 lakh over the standard price tag and can be equipped with any of the variants for the Marazzo. The waiting time for the modification process is between 2 to 6 weeks. However, the best part about the entire modification is that the vehicle’s warranty remains unchanged, thanks to a collaboration between Mahindra and DC Design.

With this big of a price increase, the Marazzo gets heavy modifications thrown into the mix, the most outstanding of which is the new rear seat layout. While you might get the second seat row as standard bench/captain chairs in the stock version, the DC edition Marazzo gets a pair of soft leather recliners which look like sofas and are both electrically adjustable. The left rear seat, which is usually occupied by the owner, also comes with a retractable footrest as well as a 160-degree reclining backrest, which will be of great use for long journeys. The right seat can also recline but not as much as the former.

The seats have been redesigned to enhance the occupants' comfort.

Customers also get a new central console which is positioned between the two rear seats. It comes with a touch panel which the rear passengers can use to control the seats, lighting and infotainment system. A 10.1-inch screen which is equipped with android TV is mounted at the back of the front seats for enhancing the entertainment experience of the passengers of the second seat row. The centre console also houses a foldable table and a 7.0-litre refrigerator which is positioned under the wide armrest.

The touch panel helps the passengers to control numerous functions on the car;  two 10.1-inch screens are mounted to the back of the front seats to provide entertainment for the rear-seated passengers.

In the front, the dashboard is redesigned to look classier and they have done so using faux leather. The steering wheel, the dashboard, the centre console and the door pads, all now come with wooden inserts. The headliner is also redesigned and gets a new black paint scheme in order to match the rest of the black-them panels across the car. The third seat row has also been restyled. Other subtle yet classy alterations inside the cabin include leather grab handles and chrome tabs for the retracting blinds on the second seat row.

The DC interior package is available to be specified in any of the Marazzo variants of offer. However the DC Designed Marazzo only sees changes made to the interior. The exterior design and powertrain, on the other hand, sees no change made to them whatsoever. In these two regards, the DC Designed Marazzo is similar to the respectively equipped standard variants of the MPV. The Marazzo comes with the choice of one engine doing duty under the hood, a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo-diesel motor which is good for a maximum power output of 123bhp and a peak torque of 300Nm.
