Now here are the things one should check before buying a pre-owned Honda City.

  1. As many of you may know that the condition of Indian roads is not that good, and bad roads or speed breakers can damage the underbody of the car. So, always check the damage to the underbody of the vehicle before buying a car. The 2020 Honda City stands 165mm above the ground, which is pretty decent.

  2. The issue of alternator belt is quite common in the 4th and 5th-gen model of Honda City. While driving the car one can hear sudden grinding sounds from the engine of the car. All this happens because of the malfunctioning of the Alternator belt. This belt is connected to several parts of the car such as the alternator, power steering wheel, AC compressor pump and more. One should check the alternator belt before signing the documents.

  3. In the pre-owned car market, you should always re-check documents before making a deal because there is a high risk of fraud. Carefully go through documents like RC and other papers of the car. Moreover, also visit the government’s official website to check the challan history of the car.

Final checks that one should consider paying attention to.

  1. The premium sedan is offered with both a manual and automatic gearbox. Check that the manual gearbox has smooth shifts and light clutch lever. Always check clutch plates before making a deal.

  2. Tyres and suspension are also one of the important parts of the premium sedan, which one should check before buying the car. Take the vehicle to the company’s authorized service centre and get the brakes and tyres checked. There’s no use of buying the car with worn-out brake pads and tyres because they are pretty expensive and can burn a hole in your pocket.

  3. If you are looking out for the Honda City with a CNG kit than we should warn you that you can face engine-related problems in the near future. The aftermarket CNG kit results in excessive wear and tear of the car.
