Of course, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner itself shows a significant upgrade and enhancement in terms of styling over the pre-facelift model. Despite how good the stock model is, there is always room for some playful modifications. In this case, it is the first-ever example of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift that now rides on a set of massive 22-inch alloy wheels.

Velocity Tyres, the automotive workshop in Punjab, has replaced the original wheels with a new set of 22-inch R.P.M silver-finished alloy wheels with a 12-spoke design. The new wheels go nicely with the already butch design of the Toyota Fortuner. Shod with 305/40 rubber, the 22-inch alloy wheels do not look out of proportion.

However, before deciding to try out this modification, owners of the new Toyota Fortuner should be aware that the adoption of lower-profile rubbers will affect the off-road capability of the full-sized SUV to some extent. That being said, off-roading is not particularly prized for most owners of the Fortuner. In other words, opting for larger wheels is still a worth-trying idea for those who want to instantly boost the road presence of the Toyota Fortuner.

Back to the 2021 Toyota Fortuner, the SUV continues to be offered with two choices of engines, a 2.7-litre petrol mill and a 2.8-litre diesel motor. The petrol engine is capable of making a peak torque of 165 PS and a maximum torque of 245 Nm. It is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. For the diesel engine, the power outputs are rated at 204 PS and 500 Nm if it is paired with a 6-speed AT. When mated to a 6-speed manual, the torque figure drops to 420 Nm.
