FIRST-EVER New Mahindra Thar With MASSIVE 20-inch Alloy Wheels

The new-gen Mahindra Thar was one of the most awaited cars from the carmaker for the Indian market. It was launched in our market last month. The 2020 Mahindra Thar is doing quite well in terms of overall sales as the automaker has registered more than 20,000 bookings of the SUV in just a short span of time. The first-gen model of the SUV was among the most modified off-roaders in India, and we can see the new-gen model following the same path. Here are a few images of the 2020 Mahindra Thar which employs new aftermarket alloy wheels. 

The regular model of the SUV employs 18-inch alloy wheels. The new-gen Mahindra you see here employs huge 20-inch alloy wheels. These aftermarket alloy wheels are finished in silver colour shade and are gelling up well with the blacked-out colour shade of the SUV. The alloy wheels look quite humongous and have enhanced the overall stance of the SUV. These aftermarket alloy wheels are shod with low profile tyres. The modification job has been done by KB Tyres, Ludhiana.

Talking about the new-gen Mahindra Thar, it derives power from 2.0-litre petrol and a 2.2-litre diesel engine. The former produces power and torque outputs of 132bhp and 300 Nm, while the latter produces power and torque outputs of 152bhp and 300 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Inside, the new-gen Mahindra Thar comes loaded with features like a touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity features, semi-digital instrument console, steering mounted controls, leather upholstery and much more. It is retailed in six unique colour shade options namely- Red Rage, Aqua Marine, Mystic Cooper, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Rocky Beige. The carmaker initiated deliveries on 7th November 2020 and between 7th to 8th November, the automaker delivered 500 units of the all-new Thar. The new-gen Mahindra SUV is retailed at a starting price of Rs 9.80 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 13.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
