To finalize a design, carmakers first work on a clay model of the car. The case was the same with the Sierra Concept as well. The perks of working over a clay model are that lines or the bulges can be tweaked again and again and this doesn’t involve expensive machinery. A set of experienced hands are required, instead. Most of the cars of Tata Motors are designed at the carmaker's design studio located in Turin, Italy. In case you are not aware, Turin is often referred to as the fashion capital of the world. Now you know why Tata cars have started to look all damsels suddenly.

Talking of the Sierra, it gets a 3-door layout, wherein there’s just one door on the right-hand side, and 2 doors on the left-hand side. Interestingly, the rear left door slides to open. To continue with the legacy of the original Sierra, this one too gets wraparound rear windows, which extend to the roof and merge with each other. In comparison the clay model, the Sierra Concept showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo featured a different rear scuff plate. However, there’s hardly any other change to talk of.
