Driving cars on wet roads is quite tricky, and it’s highly important for a person to be careful as the traction level gets low. The chances of getting involved in an accident are high when you are driving via hilly areas. Moreover, the roads on hills are not that well maintained; plus, they comprise of sudden crests, hidden pothole and narrow tarmac patches. Always make sure that your vehicle is well maintained as it’ll surely help you to get out of big troubles. Here we have a shocking accident video of a red coloured Ford Freestyle. This incident recently took place in Shimoga, Karnataka, which shows a driver driving the car while the co-passenger was shooting the video.

The video shows that the roads were wet due to the rainfall. While the hatchback was approaching the right turn, a big truck can be seen coming from the opposite direction at a high speed. As soon as the truck reaches the same narrow turn, the truck driver tries to apply brakes, but due to wet road conditions, the truck loses traction and gets out of control. The video then shows how the rear part of the truck hits the cockpit of the car.

The car was destroyed completely, but the passengers sitting inside the car were able to escape the vehicle with some minor injuries, thanks to the robust build quality of the car. The sad part is the man who was riding a bike ahead of the car was found dead on the spot as the truck first slammed the biker. A case has been filed at Tunga Nagar police station in Shimoga. It should be mentioned here that the Freestyle is a crossover-style version of the Figo, which has scored a respectable 4-star rating in the Latin NCAP.
