The speculative rendering of the Ford Mustang-inspired EV has been released. The concept car will be revealed at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2019.

Just some days ago, the upcoming all-new Ford Mustang-based electric SUV has been spotted wearing production sheet metal on the roads. Sadly, most of the exterior details of the special SUV were heavily concealed, so its final design cues are still a secret. Luckily enough, we do not need to wait until November when the Los Angeles Auto Show takes place to see what the car would look like. According to the set of spy shots, some digital artists have rendered Ford’s new electric SUV that previews the exterior design of the vehicle.

The Mustang-inspired zero-emission SUV is expected to have a butch-looking silhouette that looks very nice in this rendering. The front face of the car is largely inspired by the standard Mustang with the signature front grille, heavily-sculpted front bumper along with many creases on the bonnet.

Generally, the car looks more like a lavishly-designed high-riding hatch instead of a conventional SUV. It draws some Bullit cues, adding more to its aggressive stance but still adapted onto the Cayenne Coupe details with muscular bodywork, sporty body panels and big wheels.

The all-new Ford Mustang-based electric SUV will more likely to be called Mach E and will go on sale in 2020. It is estimated to do the range of up to 482 kilometres on a single charge. Though information are still scarce in terms of the car’s performance, we expect Ford’s first-ever electric crossover to be sportier and compete fiercely with the like of Tesla Model Y. Only time can tell us how it would perform on the tarmac.

If this render could make any sense, the final product will look good. To recap, Ford is gearing up for the public debut of the electric SUV this November, at the Los Angeles Auto Show, which is set to open doors on November 22, 2019. Stay tuned and keep updated with more details with IndianAuto.
