Take a look at this modified Maruti Gypsy, which is subtly modified with the right amount of changes to equipment and aesthetics.

Being an iconic SUV, the Maruti Gypsy has been on sale in the Indian auto market for more than 30 years. It was introduced in the mid-1980s and was discontinued late last year as it failed to comply with new stringent emission and safety standards. Along with the Mahindra Thar, the Maruti Gypsy is one of the most popular off-roaders in India and is a choice of weapons of seasoned drivers and motorsport athletes. Although the SUV has been discontinued in the country, there are still a lot of well-maintained units of Gypsy in the country. Besides having decent off-road capabilities, the Maruti Gypsy is celebrated for its modification potential. On a similar note, we came across a video on YouTube, which showcases a tastefully modified Maruti Gypsy.

This modified Maruti Gypsy has all the components that are normally seen on an off-road vehicle. It receives a dual-tone white-and-green paint scheme, which gives it a distinct appearance. While the headlights and taillights are stock units, the front bumper has given way to a heavy-duty off-road one. A pair of auxiliary lights are installed on the bumper along with the pilot lamps and turn indicators. On the side profile, a snorkel, fender flares, off-road-ready wheels and tyres can be seen. The SUV  now sits a little higher off the ground, thanks to the lift kit, which comprises of bigger shackles. This Maruti Gypsy is now a 2-seater SUV. The rear loading bay comes with a roll bar, which gives it a more muscular appearance and acts as an exoskeleton in case the car loses its balance.
