The ongoing situation has affected India just like several other developed and developing countries. The nation is under lockdown from more than a month now. This situation has affected almost every section of our society. Events, marriages and other programs have got cancelled or postponed due to this deadly virus. However, many people around the country are still doing marriages by maintaining social distancing and including limited close relatives and friends in the guest lists.
Here, we have a video of a recent incident, where Delhi Police helped a groom to reach his wedding on time, after the car he was travelling in caught fire. The young groom was travelling in his car in Delhi’s Sarita Vihar area. The groom, one Bhupender, was travelling with one more person in his Hyundai Elite i20.
Due to the country-wide lockdown, there was no car on the road to help them. Surprisingly, two police official spotted flames coming out of the car and immediately stopped their car. Both the officers took the groom along with the driver out of the car safely and within a few minutes the whole car was engulfed in flames.
One of the police officers noticed that Bhupinder was wearing wedding dress attire and was also wearing a mask. After talking to the groom for a while, the officials got to know that Bhupinder was travelling to Okhla for his wedding, which is not very far from Sarita Vihar. Afterwards, the police officers took Bhupinder and the other person to the Wedding Venue. The exact reason behind this incident is not known yet, but in order to avoid these deadly incidents, one should try to have a detailed checkup and service of his car on a regular basis.
