This Hyundai Creta changes colour. No, it doesn't turn envious to its owner. It is wrapped in a beautiful iridescent vinyl wrap.

A spectrum of white light comprises of 7 colours – Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red. Why are we telling you all this? Because this is the science that goes behind the iridescent vinyl wraps, which caught our attention while surfing the internet. The iridescent vinyl wraps are known for their crazy colour outputs. Therefore, sometimes this wrap is even addressed as a chameleon wrap since it scatters light in different colours at different viewing angles. The Creta here in the pictures is draped in this chameleon wrap by GS Customs based out of Pune.

Here's a Hyundai Creta that Changes Colours Like a Chameleon

Hyundai Creta in the picture above is the last generation of car, that, too, the pre-facelift version of that generation.

According to the owner of the car, the total cost of this mod job was Rs. 20,000.  Therefore, it can be said that the cost is not all that high for the attention it gets to the car. However, maintaining it in pristine condition is a task little tough for sure. The wraps tend to peel off due to high temperature and high moisture content in the air. Parking a car under a shade, away from the sun is the easiest way to avoid visiting wrapping shops often for the maintenance of the wrap.

This Hyundai Creta is the older generation of the car and does look quite attractive with the wrap. However, Hyundai has now launched the second-gen Creta in the country. In comparison to the old-school crossover design theme seen on the last-gen Creta, the newer one is a futuristic affair with a lot of tight creases and curves. It gets vertically-split headlamps with a bid-wide cascading grille sitting in between them. It sits on a new platform, is bigger, and offers increased road presence.

It produces 140 PS and 242 Nm as its maximum output. The diesel, on the other hand, is a 1.5L turbocharged unit with a rated output of 115 PS and 250 Nm. The manual variants of the Creta are offered with a 6-speed MT, no matter which engine option you choose to go with. The automatic variants, however, gets a CVT with the 1.5L N/A petrol, 6-speed AT with the oil burner, and a 7-speed DCT with the 1.4L turbo-petrol motor. The prices for the new Creta start at Rs. 9.99 lakhs, making it an affordable SUV.
