Check out this rad-looking modified Mahindra Thar, which has been extensively customised inside-out.

Indian auto enthusiasts love to customise their rides. When done right, such modifications add a layer of sophistication and appeal to the car. There are some cars which have plenty of aftermarket support from custom garages all over the country. One such car is the Mahindra Thar, which is the most popular choice for extreme visual modifications.

Modified Mahindra Thar Front Grille

The Mahindra Thar seen in the pictures here has been modified by Sikand Car World Pvt Ltd, in Ludhiana, Punjab, and the pictures were posted on a Facebook page by the name of ‘Inder Bhatiwal open jeep modified maker’. The car has a lot of visual changes over the stock model. At the front, we see a new, aggressive-looking face. The front grille resembles the teeth of an apex predator, and the headlamp housings have been moulded to look like angry eyebrows! The front bumper is also new, with two tow hooks and integrated LED lights. The headlights are also LED, with angel eye rings. The ORVMs now have integrated indicators as well, which further enhance the aesthetics.

At the side, the biggest changes are the new multi-spoke alloy rims, large in diameter and shod with low profile rubber. These have also been extended outwards to increase the track-width of the Thar. The wheel arches have been extended outwards using plastic cladding to accommodate the new wheels. The interior of this particular Thar is even better-looking than the exterior. You get a light colour theme inside the cabin, with soft-touch surfaces nearly all over. There are additional cushions for every seat, and to add a little more sophistication, there are two moonroofs, one for each row.

This motor was paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and a four-wheel-drive system.
