Here's a Modified Tata Sierra That wants to be a Mitsubishi Pajero SFX

Auto enthusiasts love to modify their cars, especially turning rather mundane cars to look like some iconic car or the other. Here though, we have an absolutely new concept- an iconic car modified to look like a different iconic car! Confused? Don’t be! Take a look at this modified Tata Sierra that has been turned into a Mitsubishi Pajero lookalike.

In the pictures here, you can see that this Tata Sierra has undergone plenty of changes. The first thing to notice is the paint scheme. The car wears the same red and white as the Pajero SFX, complete with a “PAJERO” sticker on the door panels. At the front, we see that the headlamps have been replaced by the ones from a Tata Safari, although the grille remains unchanged. The front bumper features a pair of auxiliary light mounted on it, along with two more pairs of foglamps integrated into it. There is a hood scoop as well, but instead of being offset towards the left side of the car, like in the Pajero, this one is in the centre of the bonnet.

At the sides, the wheel arches are new, and extend outwards to add a muscular look to the car. The wheels are custom as well, with high profile rubber. Just like the regular Sierra, this modified version has a two-door body design, and the rear windows can only be opened partially. The rear end of the car gets a new ladder, added alongside the pre-existing spare wheel, both of which are mounted on the rear hatch, which opens sideways. Overall, we’d say this is one of the most extensive mod jobs we’ve seen.

There is no info available about the changes made to the powertrain. The Tata Sierra was first introduced in 1991 with a 2.0-litre, naturally aspirated, inline-4 diesel engine. This motor was capable of generating 63 BHP. In 1998, it received a turbocharger on the same 2.0-litre diesel engine, which increased the power to 87 BHP. There was only one transmission available, a 5-speed manual gearbox.
