Check out this brilliant Mercedes-Benz C-Class (petrol model), which is being sold for less than a third of the cost of a new one and even lesser than what the base model Honda City costs

Almost all of us have dreamed of owning a luxury car once in our life. While the prices of such cars may not agree with your wallet, there is a simpler and affordable way of owning one – buying a used luxury car. A used car is generally available for a small fraction of the cost of a new one, because vehicles from luxury brands usually undergo heavy depreciation.

Here's a Well Maintained Mercedes C-Class For Price of Honda City

This particular model is a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C 200 Avantgarde CGI AT. This is the petrol-powered version, which has a 1.8-litre, turbocharged, inline-4, ‘BlueEfficiency’ engine. This motor is capable of generating a maximum power of 188 PS and peak torque of 285 Nm. There was a single transmission option available here, a 7-speed ‘7G Tronic’ automatic gearbox.

The car also offers dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, dual sunroof, tyre pressure monitoring system, parking assistance, multi-function steering wheel, electronically adjustable driver’s seat, and LED DRLS. The COMAND infotainment system of the Merc employs a 5.8-inch touch screen, which can be paired to a mobile phone via Bluetooth. The asking price for this particular used model is Rs. 9.75 lakh, which is quite a bargain for such a feature-loaded car. That’s even a little lesser than the cost of a Honda City, whose prices start at Rs 9.91 lakh (ex-showroom). You can check out the original classified right here.

It should be noted that while buying a used luxury car is easy, the maintenance is quite a hassle. Official service costs are quite high, and seeking help outside of official service centres can be potentially disastrous. The mechanicals, especially in German cars, are extremely complex. Tinkering with the car without appropriate training and experience might damage it. As such, be prepared for huge maintenance bills if you’re planning to buy one.
