Check out this wild-looking customised Mahindra Thar with a luxurious interior and a sunroof.

Indian car buyers love modifying cars, and we’ve featured numerous brilliant-looking custom cars here on IndianAuto. SUVs are perhaps the most common choice among such people, since aftermarket accessories for those are easily available. Here, we have a modified Mahindra Thar, which has undergone an extensive mod job and looks extremely aggressive.

Modified Mahindra Thar front angle

The modified Mahindra Thar seen in the pictures has been Revheads and is affectionately called the “Blue Rhino”. The name originates from the blue-coloured elements on the car’s exterior. The front fascia has the “angry bird” face, which is quite common among Thar enthusiasts. As stated prior, there are plenty of blue-coloured elements here, which look great against the dark-grey exterior paint.

The front grille consists of six vertical blue bars, and there are blue tow hooks on the front bumper, near the integrated fog lamps. The headlights are projector units with angel-eye LEDs, and there are blue eyebrow-like inserts above them. The clamps for the bonnet are also blue. On the inside-end of the bonnet, near the windscreen, there is a mount for a manually operated mechanical jack.

Modified Mahindra Thar rear angle

At the side, you’ll notice even more blue elements, like the A-pillar and the door hinges. The 16-inch Pro Comp alloy wheels have been blacked-out on the inner portion and have blue paint on the outer edge. They have been shod with Maxxis rubber.  The 4X4 badge has also been highlighted in blue to match the rest of the car.

The rear portion is extremely simple and clean. The taillamps have been blacked out almost completely, leaving a spider-shaped portion for the brake lights to shine. The spare wheel mounted on the tailgate also gets the same blue/black paint treatment as the rest of the wheels. Of course, there is a custom ‘Revhead’ badging on the tail, right above the Thar CRDe badge.

Modified Mahindra Thar interior design

The interior of this modified Mahindra Thar is as impressive as the exterior, if not more. The cabin features a beige colour scheme, which makes it feel airy and roomy. You get leather seats and centre armrests for both the front and rear occupants. Also, the rear seats are forward-facing, unlike the inward-facing seats of the stock car. The roof has also been lined with leather, which only adds to the premium feel. There is an electric sunroof as well, which opens above the rear seats.
