A lot of vloggers are pushing their MG Hectors to the limits off-road, and we have one more video of vloggers making light work of the rough terrain. Give it a watch below.

MG Motors entered the Indian market with the MG Hector last year and it has been nothing but a success story for the brand since. The Indian consumer loved its premium looks, feature-loaded cabin, and spacious cabin that was being offered for the price. It has quickly become a common sight and has come across numerous videos of the Hector traversing through different terrains and we have a video where the Hector is being driven across multiple terrains off-road.

The video has been uploaded by Car Wali Baat on their YouTube channel and is a compilation of different vlogs showing the Hector go off-road. In the first clip, we see a Hector crossing a river without any issues while we later see the Hector being driven through a rocky section with no sight of proper roads. Keep in mind the Hector is not a true off-roader, i.e., it doesn’t come with 4WD as an option even. The MG Hector passes with flying colours in the video, just like other 2WD SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta and Tata Harrier.

The MG Hector makes light work of the terrain in the video as its generous ground clearance lets it move across river sections or small rocks nonchalantly without hitting the bottom and doesn’t put too much stress on the vehicle. But we wouldn’t recommend trying to forge your way out of a jungle in the Hector. You’ll notice in the clips that there’s no back-vehicle in sight, which can cause trouble if you manage to beach the vehicle, and towing may be required. It is possible that the vloggers are familiar with the terrain shown and know what could get them trouble, but be warned, you shouldn’t attempt any of this on your own.

The most common issue with driving a front-wheel-drive SUV into too rough terrain is that it may get stuck and if you don’t have a back-up vehicle, you can get yourself in a whole heap of trouble. Also while crossing rivers or muddy sections you should measure the depth of the pit first, and if you aren’t sure about it then you shouldn’t enter it. Furthermore, there’s a high probability water might get into the engine which will hydro-lock it or fry the ECU, leading to some eye-watering repair bills.
