Bollywood actors are usually high-profile celebrities with fancy cars and gigantic mansions. While that may be true, we found a few who loved to indulge in simpler vehicular pleasures as well. Apart from the Ferraris and BMWs and Rolls-Royces, some stars preferred to own relatively affordable cars.

Aamir Khan - Mahindra XUV500

Aamir Khan Mahindra XUV500

Kicking off our list, we have Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan and his Mahindra XUV500. The actor has starred in multiple critical as well as commercial movie hits, like Dangal (2016), 3 Idiots (2009), Taare Zameen Par (2007), Lagaan (2001), etc. He also owns a few luxury cars, like Mercedes S-Class and Bentley Continental GT. The star has never used the XUV500 during events or screenings, and probably uses it when he wishes to stay “undercover”. A Mahindra car would usually fly under the radar of paparazzi, which would be great for discreet outings.

The OG biker bad-boy in Bollywood, John Abraham is famous for his love of wheels. His garage includes iconic motorcycles like Suzuki Hayabusa and an immaculately restored Yamaha RD350, along with sportscars and supercars like Nissan GT-R and Lamborghini Gallardo. He also owns a Maruti Gypsy, one of the most iconic cars in the history of Indian automotive industry. His Gypsy is the widebody version with a 1.3-litre engine, which was launched in India in 1996. The car was discontinued in 2018, but still enjoys a cult following among enthusiasts.

Nana Patekar is perhaps one of the finest actors in our country, known for his starring role in classics like Natsamrat (2016), Welcome (2007), Ab Tak Chhappan (2004), etc. Needless to say, the star’s got range a few others have demonstrated. He is also known for being quite humble when the cameras are off. His car collection includes an Audi Q7, which he uses for public appearances, and a Mahindra Scorpio, which he uses personally. Our favourite though, is his Mahindra CJ4. This vintage classic was produced under license from Jeep, and was powered by a 2.2-litre petrol engine which made 72 PS and 154 Nm. This motor came paired to a 3-speed transmission and a 4-wheel-drive system.

Disha Patani - Chevrolet Cruze

One of the most popular Bollywood divas, Disha Patani is usually seen being driven around in a BMW 5-series or a Mercedes-Benz E-Class, both of them older model vehicles, or a Land Rover Range Rover Sport. That said, she has also been spotted, on multiple occasions, travelling in a Chevrolet Cruze. The Cruze was the most powerful diesel-powered D-segment car in India in its time, and also one of comfiest ones. Other than that, she also owns a Honda Civic, the first generation that came to India.
