Hyundai Creta is one of the most popular SUVs in the Indian market, and with the newer-generation model, there have been significant improvements in the overall package. The comfort and equipment levels are now much more sophisticated than before. The Creta 1.4 GDI, the most powerful version of the SUV, offers great performance as well.

The video showcased below has been posted by 91Wheels on their YouTube channel, shows the real-life performance figures of the 2020 Hyundai Creta Turbo. The acceleration run is performed in all the three driving modes- Eco, Comfort, and Sport. The gearbox is left in ‘D’ mode with full automatic control, and the paddle shifters aren’t used here. Apart from that, the air-conditioning has also been turned off, in order to get the performance run.

First, the car is set-off in ‘Eco’ mode. The instrument console turns green as a consequence, which is a cool touch. The car takes 4.77 seconds to reach 60 kmph from a standstill, and 10.29 seconds to reach 100 kmph. An interesting thing to note here is that the digital speedometer only shows the numbers near the “needle”, while the rest of the speedo remains blank. This is a power-saving measure and it only happens in Eco mode.

Next, the car is launched in ‘Sport’ mode. The dials go red, depicting the car’s sporty nature at the moment. Performance improves slightly here, with the 0 to 60 kmph run taking 4.52 seconds and 0 to 100 kmph coming up in just 9.78 seconds. At last, the comfort mode is activated, which turns the dials into a calming shade of blue. Performance in this mode fits in between the ‘Eco’ and ‘Sport’ mode. From a standstill, 60 kmph comes up in 4.68 seconds, and it takes a total of 9.95 seconds to reach 100 kmph.

At the end of the video, the gearbox is slotted into ‘S’ mode, and another run is performed. It was noted that the gearshifts happened a little later in the rev range, but the exact time wasn’t noted. Still, even with the relatively relaxed ‘D’ mode activated, the 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox is quite a performer, and the 1.4-turbo petrol engine delivers a lot of oomph.
