This modified Hyundai Elite i20 gets a wide body kit, air suspension, and a slew of other performance mods. Take a look at it here.

Hyundai Elite i20 is in the Indian market since the year 2014. In the coming months, the South-Korean carmaker will be launching the next-gen model of the premium hatchback in the country. While the next-gen model is a looker, the outgoing model is loved for the same reason. However, Elite i20 owners can be seen modifying their rides extensively to make them look even better. The very first cosmetic modification that goes on to a car, in general, are the alloy wheels. But this one here features a lot of customisations that help it with increased appeal and improved performance.

The car in the pictures belongs to Amal Muraly, who hails from Cherthala, Kerala. Talking of the cosmetic modifications first, it gets a custom body kit, which comprises of a front bumper lip, side skirts, wider fenders, redesigned rear bumper with diffuser, and a spoiler. Also, the wheels of this Elite i20 are replaced with a set of aftermarket units, which are 17-inch in diameter. Furthermore, this example has been thoroughly de-chromed, and all the chrome-bit are now finished in a shade of black. On the whole, this Elite i20 looks gorgeous as it has been stance’d with the use of air suspension.

It gets the custom air suspension system from N1 Concepts. While this setup aids it with attention-seeking capabilities, it also helps it out with improved dynamics. Powering this modified Elite i20 is the 1.2L Kappa petrol motor, which delivers 83 PS of peak power and 113 Nm of max torque in its stock iteration. However, it has been tweaked out with the use of Wolf Moto Performance’s custom map for the ECU here.

To reduce the resistance at the intake; the stock air filter is now replaced with a free flow unit from Simota. Similarly, the stock exhaust is swapped with an aftermarket system. This particular example gets the 5-speed manual gearbox. However, Hyundai also offered the option of a CVT in the petrol variants of the Elite i20. A 1.4L oil burner was also a part of the package, but it has been pulled off from the list in the BS-6 era.
