Hyundai Venue Modified From A Base Variant To A Top-Spec One

The Hyundai Venue was launched in the Indian auto market in May this year and has attained a great deal of popularity with the Indian compact SUV enthusiasts with a contemporary design and a wide range of cutting-edge features along with various engine and transmission options. It once surpassed the Maruti Vitara Brezza in terms of sales number to become the best-selling compact SUV in India for several months before the latter retained its leading position in September.

Like any other cars, modification options with aftermarket accessories are available for the Hyundai Venue. Firstly, let’s have a look at the video which Rahul Singh shows how to transform the base variant of the Hyundai Venue to the top-spec one before going into further details.

Hyundai Venue base variant modified into a top-spec one

In the video, the interior of the vehicle is shown first; therefore, let’s start with this first. Since it is the Hyundai Venue base variant, it has almost no comfort features. The first outstanding update is the touchscreen infotainment unit. The owner has taken down all the seats and also replaced the floor mats. An illuminated welcome plate with the Venue lettering is mounted on the doors.

Other interior alterations include the dashboard and the seat materials. The low-spec Hyundai Venue comes with fabric seats. Wine red Japanese cloth which looks like leather has been adopted to replace the original fabric material. The same material has also been applied to the dashboard, the steering wheel, the gearstick and the door pads as well.

Regarding the exterior, the headlamps, fog lamps, door handles and tail lamps get chrome garnish. The headlights have been updated to LED units. New DRLs are installed right next to the fog lights. A roof rail has also been equipped. In the rear, a new reflector with Venue lettering mounted on it and a rear parking camera connected with the infotainment system have been added to the new exterior feature list of this Hyundai Venue;  According to the video, some modifications including front grille and power windows have not been opted by the owner for this Hyundai Venue. There are no alterations to the powertrain of this Hyundai Venue.

Many features on the Hyundai Venue base variant have been either altered or added to transform it to a top-spec one.

For your information, the first connected SUV in India receives its power from three motor options. The first one is a 1.2-litre naturally-aspirated gasoline burner which can produce 82 BHP against 114 Nm and is coupled with only a 6-speed MT unit. The second one is a 1.4-litre oil burner with 89 BHP against 220 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed MT. The last one, which is also the most powerful one, is a 1.0-litre 3-cyl turbo petrol engine which can generate 120 PS against 172 Nm. The transmission options in the last one are undertaken by a 6-speed MT or a 7-speed DCT unit. A wide array of motor and transmission options give the Hyundai Venue a clear advantage over the other compact SUVs in India.
