In this video, Hyundai Venue shows how easily it can reach Ladakh when the roads were hardly on its sides.

Hyundai Venue is one of the best-selling cars of the Korean carmaker. The sub-4m SUV is also the first car from Hyundai to sport vertically split headlamps in India. It gets traditional SUV design elements like side cladding, roof rails, scuff plates, and chunkier tyres. But, how much purpose do they actually serve is still not known. Since the car comes with limited suspension travel and only in an FWD format, it is better not done either. However, here’s a video that sheds some light on Hyundai Venue’s capability as it makes its way to Ladakh in the winter season.

The Venue in the video belongs to Akash, who hails from Delhi, and has uploaded the video on his YouTube channel. In the video, the owner of the car can be seen sharing his experience of the road trip. He also shares visuals where the car is making its way through deep mud-holes and water crossings. The venue has a ground clearance of 190 mm, which is 10 mm higher than that of the Mahindra Scorpio. Therefore, it is evident that the Venue will hardly brush its underbelly at any given point.

The owner adds that in deep slush and water crossing with a loose base, Venue’s ESP and traction control helped the car in sending the power to the right wheel. During the course of this trip, the car returned a MID-indicated fuel efficiency of 14.7 kmpl. It should be noted that this particular model is powered by a 1.0L turbo-petrol engine that is paired to a 7-speed DCT.
