Kia Sonet is about to make its official entrance in to the Indian market. The upcoming SUV will be the third Kia car to be launched in our country. Following the footstep of the Kia Seltos, the Kia Sonet will feature some similarities with its cousin from the Hyundai clan. While the Seltos has a lot in common with the widely-successful Hyundai Creta, the upcoming Sonet is confirmed to take after the sub-four-meter SUV Hyundai Venue.

It is revealed that the Kia Sonet will feature identical dimensions, footprint and modular platform as the Hyundai Venue. However, it should be noted that these two vehicles will get widely distinctively stylings. In the following video, we will be given a chance to have a shoulder-to-shoulder comparison between the Kia Sonet and Hyundai Venue.

Due to the limited dimensions, it is a real challenge for car manufacturers to pull out imposing sub-four-meter SUVs. Facing this challenge, Kia and Hyundai have tried different approaches. While the Hyundai Venue is styled in a more conservative and simplistic manner, Kia Sonet has opted for a bolder and adventurous look.

For the frontal design, Hyundai Venue features a traditional hexagonal grille with dual-setting headlights as well as a thick cladding for the front bumper. On the other hand, the Kia Sonet gets the sleek a dominant bumper and Tiger-nose grille flanked by sleek LED headlights. The bold styling is further enhanced by the sharp creases on the bonnet.

To the rear end, the Kia Sonet follows its bold styling approach with some playful elements like the connected headlights, chunky contrasting bumper with heavy black cladding as well as sporty silver diffusers. Similar to the front design, the rear end is also strongly sculptured with characterized curves and creases. On the other hand, the Hyundai Venue looks more conventional with roundish taillight housings and straight-forward layout. The only features that really sticks out about the rear design of the Hyundai Venue are the chrome-garnished VENUE letter on the boot lid and the rear diffusers.
