India’s First Modified Tata Altroz is Also NEATEST Yet!

Tata Altroz is one of the best-looking cars that are currently on sale in the country. The indigenous premium hatchback is also the only car in its segment to come with a 5-star Global-NCAP crash test rating. All of these aspects have helped it score high figures on the sales chart. However, not a lot of modified examples of the Altroz can be seen on the roads or the internet. But, we came across one via a YouTube video which was uploaded by Roshan TS on his channel. This modified example of the Tata Altroz belongs to Amaljith from Kerala, and is being touted as the country's first modified Tata Altroz. 

Talking of the modifications, the most noticeable of all changes are the multi-spoke aftermarket alloy wheels, which are 17-inch in diameter. These units come from the collection of AD and are wrapped in Michelin tyres. To aid this Altroz with an accentuated sporty appeal, the owner has thoroughly de-chromed it by wrapping the chrome elements with piano-black vinyl sheets.  Also, the brake callipers are now painted in a shade of yellow.

Moreover, the stock end-can is now replaced with a Remus Valvetronic exhaust, which can increase or decrease the sound output with the press of a button. A custom splitter is also fixed on the front bumper, while side skirts can be seen doing duties on the rocker panels. The owner of this Altroz has managed to change the lug nuts and valve caps with Blox-sourced units. Also, the headlamps now feature a smoked tint.

Under the hood, things remain unchanged. The Altroz is offered with two powertrain options. There is a 1.2L 3-pot naturally-aspirated petrol motor on offer, alongside a 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine. The former develops a peak power output of 86 PS and max torque of 113 Nm, while the latter puts out 90 PS against 200 Nm. As of now, the Altroz is offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox only. A fast-shifting dual-clutch automatic is under consideration and is likely to come mated to a 1.2L turbo-petrol motor that will put out 110 PS of peak power and 140 Nm of max torque. It is likely to go on sale by early next year.
