Jeep India Launches ‘The Original’ TVC Just Around New Mahindra Thar Launch

Jeep India has recently released a new TVC video, which is titled as ‘The Original’ in a bid to shift the focus from the introduction of the new Mahindra Thar

Mahindra & Mahindra has recently revealed the new-gen Thar in India. It is slated to launch in our market on 2nd October 2020. As we’ve already said most of the time that the 2020 Mahindra Thar quite identical to that of the Jeep Wrangler. The American carmaker Jeep has finally broken the silence by releasing a new TVC video titled as “The Original”. The video has been uploaded on the YouTube channel of Jeep India. This video mainly highlights the world’s most spectacular places, arts and engineering feats to tell people that an original idea rises above mediocrity and empower mankind to break free and lead the ways.

The TVC video also uses clips of the classic Statue of Liberty, Giza Pyramids in Egypt, Van Gosh’s Starry Nights, Mona Lisa to show that the originals are limited and are one of their kinds. The video also shows Indian connections in the form of Mahatma Gandhi’s revolution and Taj Mahal. The message behind this video is that the Jeep’s original design has been carried forward since 1941 and is liked my mankind’s greatest creations. The video ends by saying that the originals can be imitated but never duplicated. Talking about the new-gen Mahindra Thar, the SUV is based on an updated ladder frame chassis and is considerably larger than the previous-gen model.

Mechanically, the 2020 Mahindra Thar derives power from a 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine. The former puts out 150bhp of power and 300 Nm of peak torque, while the latter produces 130 PS and 300 Nm of twisting force. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Inside, the 2020 Thar comes loaded with features like a 12-volt accessory socket, remote keyless entry, front power window, cruise control and roof-mounted speakers. It also sports a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with latest connectivity techs, removal doors and a four-wheel-drive option with mechanical locking differential as standard. The SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 10 to 15 lakh.
