Kia has finally reached the one-lakh sales mark in India, and to do so, South-Korean automaker took less than a year from its debut.

Kia Seltos was launched in August 2019 and shortly after this, the mid-size SUV beat the long-time dominator in the segment, the Hyundai Creta, in the monthly sales chart. Between August 2019 and July 2020, the Seltos has contributed nearly 97,745 units of the total sales number of the South Korean automaker. For some months, the Kia Seltos has recorded the segment-leading sales number until the introduction of the 2020 Hyundai Creta, which once again changed the game. Over 55,000 bookings have been collected for the new Creta and over 20,000 units of the new SUV have been delivered, which helped it become the best-selling car in India two months ago.

The combined sales numbers of the Kia Seltos and Kia Carnival is 1,09,359 units by the end of July. This helps Kia become the fastest automaker in India to reach the milestone of one-lakh sales number. Considering the COVID-19 pandemic and the market slump, it is such a remarkable achievement.
