Here are a few images of a Kia Seltos which got smashed between an ambulance and bus. All the passengers sitting inside the car were safe, even though the airbags didn't deploy

Kia Seltos is among the popularly known cars in its segment. Launched back in 2019, the mid-size SUV took no time to magnetize the Indian buyers. Right now, Seltos is the top-selling car in its segment, and it rubs shoulders with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and MG Hector. The SUV became popular in the Indian market because of its attractive looks, feature-loaded interior and wide range of power plant choices.

The car is also being offered with a lot of safety kit options for passenger safety. Recently, we came across a few pictures of Kia Seltos, which got heavily damaged in a road accident. These pictures were uploaded by a Facebook user named as Ravi Choudhary on a group named as Kia Seltos Club India.

He says that his car was hit by an ambulance and with the impact, it went forward and hit a bus, but surprisingly airbags did not deploy. As you can see in the pictures, the ambulance has damaged the rear-left portion of the SUV, while the bus has destroyed the front fascia of the car. The owner of the car also asks the reason why the airbags of the car did not active. Luckily, however, the car kept its occupants safe, which goes on to showcase the robust built of the vehicle.

There are two different reasons behind the failure of airbags deployment, the first one could be that the driver was not wearing the seatbelt and therefore the airbag sensor did not deploy the airbags after the accident, and the second reason could be that there might be a technical issue with this particular model, and therefore it needs to be checked because passenger safety is extremely important. Mechanically, the mid-size SUV derives power from a 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine along with a potent 1.4-litre turbocharged gasoline motor. The former puts out power and torque outputs of 113bhp and 144 Nm, while the latter develops 113bhp and 250 Nm of twisting force. The potent turbo-petrol motor churns out 138bhp and 242 Nm.
