Korean automaker Kia introduced the Seltos in the Indian market last year. It is the best-selling car in its segment, and it competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier and MG Hector. Kia Seltos is a value-for-money product because it looks quite sporty and comes loaded with a decent amount of features. Here’s a drag race between Kia Seltos and Audi A6. In this race between an SUV and a sedan, the Audi A6 dominates as it is much more powerful than the Seltos. However, in the initial seconds, you will be greatly surprised by seeing the results.

In the first try, one can see the Kia Seltos skipping the line, and that’s why the SUV gets an early start. Interestingly, the SUV was able to hold that position for a couple of seconds. As both the cars move towards 80 to 90 kmph mark, Audi simply overtakes the Seltos and wins the race. After that, we proceed to the second round of the race. In the second run, the Korean SUV took lead for a couple of seconds, but this time the premium sedan was able to overtake the SUV earlier than the first attempt. The main reason behind the winning of the Audi A6 is its potent 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel motor. On the other hand, the Seltos is powered by a 1.5-litre oil burner.

The diesel engine propelling the Seltos offers a good amount of low-end torque, and that’s why the SUV was able to take an early lead. Furthermore, the SUV comes paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the A6 comes coupled to an 8-speed Multitronic automatic transmission. The diesel motor powering the Seltos puts out power and torque outputs of 110 PS and 250 Nm. The Audi A6 is this video is the 2012 model, which is powered by a 2.0-litre TDI engine that produces power and torque outputs of 175 PS and 350 Nm. As you can see that there is a huge difference in power and torque outputs of the two vehicles and that clearly reflects in the result of the drag races.
