Kia Sonet Base Trim Gets Swanky Alloy Wheels

Here’s the base HTE trim of Kia Sonet and it employs aftermarket 15-inch alloy wheels.

The Korean automaker Kia recently introduced its all-new sub-4-meter SUV in the Indian market. It is one of the most feature-loaded cars in its segment. It rivals with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300. It is the third product from the carmaker for India. The SUV is getting a good response from the potential buyers around the country. Many people have also started customizing the all-new Kia Sonet as per their preference. Here are a few images of a modified Kia Sonet, which gets aftermarket alloy wheels.

The 2020 Kia SUV you see here is the base HTE variant of the SUV. The base model of the car employs 15-inch steel wheels. It  features aggressive-looking multi-spoke alloy wheels. We are not aware of the size of these rims, but they look like 15-inch units. As one can see in the pictures that the SUV also features red brake callipers upfront, which gels up well with the colour shade of the car. These aftermarket alloy wheels look sporty and have enhanced the overall design language of the SUV.

The Kia Sonet is owned by Mr Ashish Khadakar. Mechanically, it derives power from 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former develops 83 PS of power and 113 Nm of peak torque, while the latter is offered in two states of tune and produces 110/115 PS and 240/250 Nm of peak torque. The petrol mill comes mated with a 5-speed MT and the diesel engine comes coupled to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed MT. The SUV is also propelled with a more powerful 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor that produces power and torque outputs of 120 PS and 172 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed iMT or 6-speed DCT. It is offered at a starting price of Rs 6.72 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level THE variant and goes all the way up to Rs 12.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec GTX Plus variant.
