Maruti Vitara Brezza is one of the top-selling cars in its segment. Early this year, the automaker introduced the SUV with a petrol engine and discontinued the diesel engine option. Due to the rising competition, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is not that popular among the new buyers in the market. Recently, Kia introduced its all-new sub-4-meter SUV in our market named as Sonet, which is attracting a lot of buyers. It is among the most feature-loaded car in its segment. In terms of dimensions, the Kia Sonet is 3,995 mm long, 1,790 mm wide, 1,610 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. On the other hand, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is 3,995 mm long, 1,790 mm wide 1,640 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. As compared to the Kia Sonet, the Maruti Vitara Brezza is 30 mm tall.
The base HTE trims of Kia Sonet is powered by 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.5-litre diesel engine, which are capable of shredding out power and torque outputs of 83/100 PS of power and 115/240 Nm of peak torque. The petrol engine comes paired with a 5-speed MT, while the diesel unit comes mated to a 6-speed MT. On the other hand, Maruti Vitara Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, which puts out power and torque outputs of 105 PS and 138 Nm. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT.

As one can see that the all-new Kia Sonet is Rs 60,000 cheaper than the Maruti SUV. The equipment list of both cars is almost the same. The 1.5-litre petrol engine offered with Maruti Vitara Brezza is more potent than the petrol motor offered by the automaker with Kia Sonet.
