Kia Sonet is grabbing all the attention with a commendable start on the sales tally. It is offered in a total of six variants, namely HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, and GTX+. The Sonet shouts out loud on its tagline – Wild by Design, with the help of its LED DRLs. However, the HTE, HTK, and HTK+ trims are not offered with the Heart-beat LED DRLs. But, aftermarket options are always there to watch your back. In the video, it can be seen that the Sonet get a set of custom LED DRLs, which help it with an added premium appeal. Also, the conventional halogen bulbs of the headlamps are replaced with aftermarket LED bulbs. The owner of the Sonet has installed multi-colour ambient lighting in the footwell. The HTK+ trim of the Sonet also misses out on a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Therefore, it has been wrapped by the folks at Car Hut itself. Furthermore, the fabric upholstery of the seats is now replaced with leather upholstery. Well, the top-spec trim of Sonet comes with very distinctive floor mats, but that isn’t the case with the lower trims. So the owner of this Sonet has installed 5D floor mats here.

The Sonet is available with a total of three engine options – 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo-petrol, and 1.5L diesel. The 1.2L Kappa petrol motor pushes out a rated power and torque output of 83 PS and 114 Nm, respectively. It comes mated to a 5-speed MT only. The 1.0L turbo-petrol unit can be had with either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed DCT, and it propels a peak power output of 120 PS and max torque of 172 Nm. The 1.5L oil burner, on the other hand, is available with two gearbox options – 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. With the former, the peak power output and torque output are measured at 100 PS and 240 Nm, respectively. However, with the automatic gearbox, the peak output is rated at 115 PS/250 Nm.
