Mid-Spec Kia Sonet HTK+ Seen In a Detailed Walkaround Video

Slated for launch on September 18, 2020, the first batch of the Kia Sonet has started to be delivered to dealer yards. These are actual customer cars which will be delivered to respective owners rather than test-drive models which had arrived last month. Almost all the information on the Kia Sonet has been revealed to the public, except for its official prices and how the lower-spec and mid-spec trims will look in reality. Kia Sonet variants and its variant-wise features have also been disclosed. One of the most noteworthy variants of the Kia Sonet is the HTK+, which is a mid-spec variant in the Tech Line trim. It is equipped with all the necessary features, will come with all the motor and transmission options and should be aggressively priced.

As regards the exterior, the Kia Sonet HTK+ is equipped with halogen headlights with a follow-me-home feature, chrome radiator grille with diamond skid plates, projector fog lights, ORVMs with LED turn indicators, floating roof rails, shark fin antenna, 16-inch metallic silver rims and front and rear skid plates, etc. In terms of the interior, the Kia Sonet cabin will come with an all-black paint scheme, black leather seat coverings with white stitching, leather cover for the steering wheel and gear knob, height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry, electrically-adjusted windows, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with ARKAMYS tuning which supports Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity.

Other outstanding interior features include a rearview camera with guidelines, a wireless phone charger, etc. Regarding the safety, the Kia Sonet HTK+ is offered with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, emergency stop signal, front disc brakes, rear parking sensors and emergency stop signals. With such an impressive list of features available, the Kia Sonet HTK+ is expected to be one of the top-selling Kia Sonet variants. As mentioned above, the Kia Sonet HTK+ will be available with all the motor and transmission options. The first one is a 1.2-litre gasoline burner which can generate 83 PS against 115 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed MT. The second one is a 1.0-litre turbo gasoline burner which can produce 120 PS against 172 Nm and is paired with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT. The last one is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit which is available in two states of tunes: 100 PS/240 Nm and 115 PS/250 Nm and is coupled with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The Kia Sonet HTK+ is priced from IRN 7.7 lakh to INR 10.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
