How would Kia Sonet look like as a thorough-bred off-roader? Check it out here.

Kia Motor’s first and latest entrant to the sub-4m SUV market is the Kia Sonet that has just gone on sale in India for a month now. Being the most affordable SUV by Kia in India, the Sonet is attracting a lot of attention from the Indian car buyers and has managed to become the highest-selling compact SUV within just 12 days of its launch.

We all know that Kia Sonet is a stylish and well-connected SUV, but we wonder how the SUV would look like if it’s built as a mini off-roader. Luckily, we’ve just found out the rendering version of the off-road spec Kia Sonet SUV, and here’s the video of the same.

According to the video uploaded by BM Designs on their Youtube channel, the Kia Sonet gets heavy inspirations from the X-Line Trail Attack concept version of it bigger brother, Kia Seltos. As per the rendering, the Kia Sonet has been modified with an off-road spec bumper that replaces the regular unit. Also, the aftermarket skid plate with a pair of yellow-painted tow hooks along with the blacked-out cladding around the car gives the SUV a more rugged and muscular look.

Other prominent changes on the Kia Sonet off-roader is an added roof rack that sports four big auxiliary lamps. The chunky-looking off-road spec tyres shod with a set of blacked-out alloys also enhance the ruggedness quotient of the vehicle. There are some silver accents on the side cladding of the Sonet car, thus coming as some visual highlights for the side profile of the SUV.

In its stock form, the Kia Sonet is already a good-looking car itself. Therefore, combined with the additional off-road-focused amendments, the Sonet becomes a capable mini off-roader that looks completely ready to crash through any surfaces, both on the roads and off it.
