The Tata Tiago remains one of the best value-for-money hatchbacks you can buy. And now it gets a more aggressive stance courtesy lowered suspension from Cobra. Read on for the full story.

The Tata Tiago was one of the first products from the Indian automaker that had its new design language. Its combination of attractive pricing and feature-loaded variants made it one of the most successful Tata vehicles. In fact, it was the third highest-selling Tata last month after the new Altroz and Nexon. Even though it was first launched in 2016, Tata Motors keeps updating the Tiago regularly so that it doesn’t fall behind its segment rivals. The Tiago also has a healthy amount of options if you’re looking to modify and tune yours, and today we came across this suspension upgrade from Cobra.

The Tiago you can see in the pictures belong to a Mr Vijesh who hails from Coimbatore. For those who are not familiar with Cobra, they’re a Netherlands based company who specialize in suspension upgrades. And now they have announced that they will sell suspension lowering kits for the Tata Tiago and the ultra-rare Tiago JTP. Instead of just focusing on the stance of the car, Cobra aimed to improve the driveability, bump absorption, refined driving, and better agility.

To do this, Cobra Suspension’s Indian arm bought a brand new set of the Tiago’s suspension and sent the original springs to their HQ in the Netherlands. They scanned, analysed, and created a design based on the originals after which a prototype kit was made and tested on a Tiago in Delhi/NCR. After passing through the testing program successfully and being satisfied with the measurements, the remaining kits were produced for retail. The new Cobra suspension gives the Tiago a ride height drop of 25 mm in the front and 20 mm in the rear. As you can see in the picture, it gives the car a more aggressive and lower stance on the wider tyres.
