Mahindra & Mahindra is popularly known around the country for offering robust and rugged SUVs. The SUVs offered by the carmaker have a very strong road presence and are capable of doing some good amount of off-roading. When Mahindra first launched the Scorpio in the Indian market, no one had ever thought that it’ll get popular across all ages and genders. The SUV quickly became popular among the Indian buyers and has done wonders for the company in terms of overall sales. A lot of car manufacturers launched SUVs in the market to beat the Mahindra Scorpio, but soon, they got to know that the SUV has its own market that is not at all easy to penetrate.

Not just this, in recent years, Mahindra has undertaken modification jobs even for the Scorpio. So, here are images of a company-customized Mahindra Scorpio that looks really badass. The carmaker has named it the Mahindra Scorpio Mountaineer, and we must say that the name gels up pretty well with the robust look of the car. The modified SUV looks very similar to the pickup truck version of the SUV.

The Mahindra Scorpio Mountaineer looks ready to tackle some tough surfaces. Talking about the modifications, outside, the SUV gets a new three pod headlamp cluster along with an all-new grille, which replaces the conventional one. It also gets a new bumper and side indicators upfront. The side profile of the SUV features dual-purpose tires wrapped arond blacked-out alloy wheels, snorkel and flared wheel arches which give the SUV a more rugged appeal. The rear profile of the SUV features round LED taillights, new bumper and a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate. Not a lot has been changed on the inside, but the SUV now gets red highlights on steering wheel, dashboard and seats.
