Mahindra XUV300 Suffers NO DAMAGE After Hitting Toyota Innova Crysta At High Speed

Safety is one of the most important factors that you should consider and research when buying a new car. But sadly the Indian automotive sector has had the key focus on aspects like cheaper price tag, more creature comforts, and the all-important fuel efficiency. Thankfully, manufacturers are starting to focus on providing essential safety features like ABS and airbags and getting improved Global NCAP ratings with a few Indian cars getting the full 5-star rating in adult safety rating as well. In the video that has been uploaded by Prateek Singh over on YouTube, we see a Mahindra XUV300 that rear-ended a Toyota Innova Crysta. The accident took place as the Innova Crysta driver had to brake suddenly since a cow had run across the road. While the Innova Crysta driver could stop the car in time, the XUV300's driver could not do so. The XUV300 was in close proximity to the Innova Crysta. Therefore, the accident couldn’t be avoided. As a result, the rear facet of the Innova Crysta was quite damaged as the boot and the bumper got severely damaged, while the XUV 300 got out of the accident scot-free, suffering only minor scratches.

The Mahindra XUV 300 is one of the few Indian manufactured cars that scored the full 5 stars in adult safety at the Global NCAP tests and it is one of the safest cars you can currently buy in India. It is offered with two engine options - 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel. The turbo-petrol motor develops a peak power output of 110 PS and max torque of 200 Nm. The oil burner, on the other hand, is capable of pushing out a rated power and torque output of 116 PS and 300 Nm, respectively. Transmission options on the Mahindra XUV300 include a 6-speed MT and 6-speed AMT. Talking of the prices, the XUV300 is retailed at a starting price of Rs. 7.95 lakh and go up to Rs. 12.30 lakh.
