Here's a video where a Ford Ecosport struggles to get out of a muddy surface, while a Maruti Alto, on other hand, does the same job effortlessly.

Driving car in the mountains is far more challenging than driving it on plain roads. The natural elements which make driving cars on hilly areas tricky are narrow roads, poor condition of tarmac, landslides and much more. People who are very much used to driving in these places are experienced enough of tackling such challenging road conditions, but the drivers who are not that experienced with driving cars on mountains sometimes struggle to navigate through these roads. Here’s a video uploaded by a YouTube channel named Snehasis Chatterjee that shows how a rented Ford EcoSport from Delhi struggles on a muddy surface on the Kasol-Tosh road, while, on the other hand, we can see many Maruti Alto 800s being driven by locals easily making it through the obstacle.

It took several minutes for the Ford SUV to clear that uneven stretch. One of the main reasons for EcoSport’s struggle on that muddy surface is the pathetic condition of tyres. The tyres employed on this Ford EcoSport seem to be in a very poor condition, which means that they don’t provide enough grip to counter challenging surfaces. As one can see in the video embedded with the story, there were several occasions of wheelspin, which was damaging the momentum as well as the performance of the tyres.

Moreover, the driver driving the Ford EcoSport seems to be a non-hilly guy, while the people driving a Maruti Alto were the locals and quite experienced in dealing with these kinds of situations. The Ford Ecosport seen in this video is a rented vehicle, which means that the driver is not much used to the car. We request all our readers to check the condition of a car before renting it out and you even need to check the tyre condition if you have plans to explore mountains. Also, in case one's a novice behind the wheel, he or she should be very careful while driving on hilly roads as even a small error can have dire consequences. Hence, it's better to take an experienced driver along and not push one's luck on tricky roads.
