Maruti Brezza Fan Buys A Tata Nexon - Here's Why

Maruti is the biggest carmaker in the country today. The brand has been selling a slew of products in the Indian market and almost all of them are good at bringing volumes. Maruti’s Vitara Brezza was, however, the undisputed king of the compact SUV space. But, it is now, in the Brezza’s BS-6 regime that customers are often seen hunting around for its substitutes. We too came across such a scenario where a Brezza fan ended up buying a Tata Nexon. We got to know of this incident by the YouTube video of Power On Wheel. In the video, the owner of the Nexon – Anubhav, can be seen explaining the reasons, why he finalized for the Nexon over the Vitara Brezza.

Anubhav explains that the first and foremost reason is the price difference. He bought this base-spec Nexon for Rs. 8.17 lakh (On-Road Ghaziabad, UP). The Vitara Brezza, on the other hand, would’ve set him back by Rs. 8.65 lakh. He adds that when he saw the facelifted Nexon for the very first time, he quite liked the car. Since the facelifted version now gets a completely new front facet that lends the Nexon a tough look with sharper and sleeker design elements.

Another aspect the buyer focuses on is the 5-star safety rating. The Nexon was the first Indian car to receive a 5-star crash test rating from Global NCAP. It comes with dual-front airbags, front seat belt warning, seat belts with pre-tensioners, rear parking sensors, 4-channel ABS with EBD, roll-over mitigation, electronic stability program, and high-speed alerts as standard fitment across the range.

Anubhav felt that Maruti Vitara Brezza feels dated in its BS-6 regime in comparison to the Tata Nexon.

Also, the buyer adds that the low-end grade of Nexon is equipped with a decent amount of features such as projector headlamps, LED DRLs, front power windows, all-digital instrument console, rake adjust for the steering wheel and more. The buyer claims that Nexon offers great driving comfort along with immense legroom and knee room in both the rows. Talking of the after-sales and service, Anubhav adds that service centre experience was great, as well as the staff was generous enough to address his issues.
