This Maruti Vitara Brezza has a stance to appreciate with 20-inch aftermarket alloy wheels in place. Take a look at it here.

Maruti Vitara Brezza has been one of the cash cows of the Japanese carmaker in India. It has been recently launched in the facelifted avatar and with a petrol engine, whereas the pre-facelift model came with a diesel power plant. However, with both of these engines, Vitara Brezza came with 16-inch rims, which never looked all that great. Since it gets nice squarish wheel arches that are quite big, the 16-inch rims were not large enough to fill the wheel wells. Therefore, examples of Vitara Brezza can often be seen with aftermarket 17- or 18-inch rims. But, here’s one, which sits on a set of 20-inch alloy wheels.

The wheels on this Vitara Brezza come from RPM Wheels’ collection and are shod with low-profile tyres from Sonar. These 12-spoke units look flashy as they are finished in hyper silver. In comparison to the OEM alloy wheels, they look better and also fill the wheel wells excellently. This mod job has been performed by the folks at Velocity Tyres, located in Ludhiana, Punjab. While these wheels look dope, they do come with reduced ride comfort.

Also, with a smaller sidewall on the tyres, they are more prone to damages while hitting a pothole at high speeds. On the positive side, the increased width of the tyres gives an incremented contact patch to the car. This helps with improved grip levels. However, the increased resistance reduces the fuel efficiency of the car.

This particular Vitara Brezza is the pre-facelift model that used to come with a 1.3L diesel engine. The 4-cylinder turbocharged oil burner was sourced from Fiat and used to develop a peak power and torque output of 90 PS and 200 Nm, respectively. The gearbox options were limited to a 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT. Talking of the facelifted model: it is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol motor. It churns out 105 PS of peak power and 138 Nm of peak torque. The transmission options include a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT. In the petrol-only avatar, prices of Vitara Brezza start at Rs. 7.34 and goes up to Rs. 11.40 lakh.
