Are you considering between the Maruti Vitara Brezza vs Toyota Urban Cruiser and are still confused about which one to purchase? Please read this article before you make your decision.
Toyota has just launched the Toyota Urban Cruiser, which is the rebadged version of the Maruti Vitara Brezza. Based on the Maruti Vitara Brezza, the Toyota Urban Cruiser shares the same motor, transmission and elements with its donor vehicle. Nevertheless, the design is a little bit different as regards both the exterior and interior. As a result, customers will be confused between the two SUVs and have difficulties in deciding which one to choose. This article is going to list out three main differences between the Maruti Vitara Brezza vs Toyota Urban to help you make the right decision.
More affordable base variant only on the Maruti Vitara Brezza
The Urban Cruiser has a starting price which is higher than that of the Maruti Vitara Brezza. While the former is priced from INR 8.40 lakh to INR 11.30 lakh, the latter currently costs between INR 7.34 lakh and INR 11.40 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom).
More fashionable and premium front on the Toyota Urban Cruiser
The front grille is the most significant difference between the two SUVs. In the front, the Toyota Urban Cruiser is packed with a different grille, a redesigned bumper and headlight housing. From the front, the SUV bears a strong resemblance to the Toyota Fortuner.
The Toyota Urban Cruiser is a little bit more expensive
The Maruti Vitara Brezza is the more affordable SUV, in comparison with the Toyota Urban Cruiser. The entry-level variant of the former is priced at INR 7.34 lakh and is not available on the latter. Actually, the Urban Cruiser is more expensive than the Vitara Brezza by INR 5,000 to INR 15,000 across their variants. While this is not a significant difference, for such a price-conscious market like India, this should be put into consideration.
While this is not a difference, but with a view to clearing the confusion that many publications have reported, we have decided to include it in this article. The Toyota SUV’s (ARAI-certified) fuel mileage figures are 17.03 kmpl and 18.76 kmpl for the manual and automatic versions, respectively. These are also the figures of the Maruti Vitara Brezza.
