Maruti Wagon R vs Hyundai Santro, which car has the better discount offers during May 2020? Read ahead to find out!

Maruti Wagon R is perhaps the quintessential family car, compact, light, spacious, and extremely affordable. Same goes for the Hyundai Santro, which is the South Korean carmaker’s cheapest, entry-level offering for India. Although both the cars were quite popular among buyers, sales have been disappointing in recent times owing to the market slowdown. The lockdown enforced throughout the country has made matters even more difficult. To improve sales and attract customers, both Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai are offering deals and discounts on these hatchbacks. Here, we shall briefly compare the offers available on both cars.

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R vs Hyundai Santro

Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is being offered with a cash discount of Rs. 10,000. On the other hand, Hyundai is offering a cash discount worth Rs. 20,000. On the Wagon R, you get an exchange bonus of Rs. 20,000, while on the Santro, the same is worth Rs. 15,000. It should be noted that the exchange bonus gets added to the value of the car brought in for exchange. Maruti Suzuki currently retails the Wagon R from a base price of Rs. 4.45 lakh up to Rs. 5.94 lakh, while a Hyundai Santro begins at Rs. 4.57 lakh ad goes up to Rs. 6.25 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, New Delhi).
