Here are the images of the modified Maruti XL6 which features aftermarket alloy wheels and tyres. The inclusion of these new set of alloy wheels seems more proportionate to the dimensions of XL6.

Maruti Suzuki launched the XL6 premium MPV in the Indian market last year. The 6-seat MPV is based on Ertiga but is retailed as a more premium model. That’s why the MPV is sold via the company’s premium NEXA car dealership. The carmaker offers the XL6 in two different trim levels namely- Zeta and Alpha. Both the MPVs are powered by a petrol power plant. The Maruti XL6 is priced between Rs 9.79 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) to Rs 11.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Moreover, the MPV is doing pretty good in terms of overall sales. The waiting period of Maruti XL6 in several parts of India is up to 8 weeks. Basically, the Maruti XL6 is Ertiga with some premium cosmetic bits on outside and inside.

The MPV looks much bigger, wider and muscular than Ertiga. The tyres and alloy wheels remain the same as seen on the Ertiga. This makes the MPV look undersized compared to its overall structure. Recently, a Team-BHP member named as rohin4110 posted images of his modified Maruti XL6. The owner of the MPV has replaced the stock 185/65/15 Bridgestone Ecopia tyres with aftermarket Michelin Primacy-4 205/55/16. The cost of this customization is around Rs 70,000. The addition of a new set of alloy wheels looks more proportionate to the dimensions of XL6. Moreover, this customization job has not done any adverse effect to the functioning of the car.

The owner of this modified Maruti XL6 says, “The firm footed and planted look on the new broad section Michelin tyres. The bolder stance with the upsized tyres, which give the XL6 a better ride quality, keep the understeer in check at high speeds and a firm footed feel while engaging in speeds in excess of 90 kmph.”

Other than this, the MPV remains in its stock form. Mechanically, the Maruti XL6 is powered by a 1.5-litre, K15B gasoline engine which churns out 104.7 PS of power and 138 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are done by a 5-speed MT or a 4-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The engine also comes paired with the company’s SHVS mild-hybrid tech for better fuel-efficiency.
