Red colour cars seek attention like no other colour. The story is similar with this Honda City, which is wrapped in a bright shade of red.
Honda City is a well-known product in the Indian car market. Currently, the car is in its fourth-generation. This particular generation of the car was the first one to sport a diesel engine, which helped it score better on the sales chart. But it is the 1.5L i-VTEC motor that rules over the minds of enthusiasts. And, due to its tuner friendly nature, a lot of modified examples can be spotted on the road. However, it should be noted that the City’s overall design is sportier as well. Here’s a modified unit, which looks gorgeous from all angles.
The shiny red wrap makes this Honda CIty look faster and more attractive.
To start with, this particular City is draped in a red vinyl wrap. It has been de-chromed with the use of piano-black inserts. This red-black combination gives it all the appeal that it needs to grab a lot of attention. It should be noted that car features stock bumpers at both the ends, and there are no side skirts either. Apart from the new body wrap, the other changes include a set of aftermarket alloy wheels and a lip spoiler for the boot lid. With minimal modifications on the outside, this is the nicest example of a modified City we’ve come across.
The interior of the car has been revamped using the red and black inserts as on the exterior. However, at most parts, the piano-black finish has been replaced with carbon-fibre inserts. The carbon-fibre inserts with red piping give the cockpit a sportier look. This City proves that with subtle modifications, one can transform the complete personality of a car.
The interior of the car is also themed like the exterior with the use of red piping and carbon-fibre inserts
However, if anything is souped-up under its hood is not yet known. As of now, Honda is selling the facelifted version of the 4th-generation City in the country. It has been recently updated with a BS-6 engine. It now comes with the 1.5L i-VTEC petrol motor only. This 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated engine develops a peak power output of 119 PS and a max. torque output of 145 Nm. It can be had mated to either a 5-speed MT or a CVT automatic. Prices for the City start at Rs. 9.91 lakh. Also, Honda is currently offering discounts of up to Rs. 1.00 lakh.
