Modified Mahindra Scorpio from DC Design Looks Wild and Quirky

This modified Mahindra Scorpio is customized by DC2. The modifier has added some extra bits to make the SUV look robust. However, the end product might not be to everyone's taste

Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most popular SUVs offered by the carmaker in our market. The SUV has a cult fan following among the enthusiasts around the country. It was first introduced in our market back in 2002 and became an instant hit. Mahindra Scorpio is one of those SUVs, which looks beefier after getting modified. Here’s one such highly customized Mahindra Scorpio, which looks like a true beast.

Front-look-of-Mahindra-Scorpio

The Mahindra Scorpio you see here has been modified by DC2, who was earlier known around India as DC Designs. The modifier has added some bits to make the SUV look muscular. Upfront, it gets a new grille that features a cross design. There’s also a small LED bar light equipped just below the grille. It gets stock headlamps, but the front bumper is an aftermarket unit. The new muscular-looking bumper makes the SUV look more eye-catching. The bonnet of the SUV has been redesigned too. It gets a well-sculpted bonnet with a big scoop, which works as an air inlet.

The side profile of the car remains identical to that of the stock Mahindra Scorpio, except for the addition of semi roof rails and aftermarket alloy wheels. At the back, the modifier has made subtle tweaks like the addition of a muscular bumper hat. It employs stock headlamps with a new cladding. It also gets DC badging at the front and rear. Talking about Mahindra Scorpio, the SUV derives power from a 2.2-litre, four-pot diesel engine, which capable of shredding out 140bhp of power and 320 Nm of peak torque.

Transmission duties are done by a 6-speed MT. The SUV is offered in four different trim levels namely- S5, S7, S9 and S11. It is retailed at a starting price of Rs 14.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level S5 trim and goes all the way up to Rs 19.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec S11 variant.
