Azad 4x4 is a Delhi-based tuning house that's known for making some practical accessories for the Mahindra Thar. Here's one in the video, that gets a lot of them and looks sick.

Mahindra Thar in its new-gen avatar has turned out to be a halo product for the carmaker. The off-roader currently boasts of a super-long waiting period of up to 9 months. Hence, a lot of customers are still waiting for the delivery of their vehicles. However, many have already got their hands on one, and are now exploring options to modify their possessions. In a bid to help the new Thar buyers, we recently made a visit to Azad 4x4, who are in the business of modifying 4x4 vehicles, to check what they have in their store for the owners of new-gen Mahindra Thar. We are happy to report; they have quite some stuff on their shelves. Here’s a video that shows all of it.

As can be seen in the video, the men behind Azad 4x4 – Inu Chadha and Vicky Chadha start by revealing how they started following their passion for modifying cars. Moving over to the accessories, they start with the front fascia of the new-gen Thar that features a lot of changes. The most prominent of all is the off-road-spec bumper, which is priced at Rs. 25,000 and can be had with a winch as well. Next mod on the list is the aftermarket radiator grille. Folks at Azad 4x4 confirmed that they have various iterations of these grilles, and the prices range in between Rs. 7,000 to Rs. 14,000.  Also, they have installed custom headlamps that come with LED DRLs and lighting elements.

The most crucial modification on this Thar is the metal hardtop. According to the Azad 4x4 team, it offers much better control over the NVH levels in comparison to the factory-spec hardtop. Also, this hardtop is designed to support the weight of a roof carrier. On the inside, the changes are many. The front row gets a centre armrest, while the rear seats get their own individual armrests. Also, the tuner has managed to fit leg rests on the centre console. The front seats are also tweaked a bit to offer more support to the occupants. In a bid to ensure easy access to the cabin without compromising on the ground clearance, the modifier has fitted electronic side steps, which open and close in conjunction with the doors.
