The Maruti Swift has been one of the most popular hatchbacks in India for quite some time now. The third generation model, which was launched a couple of years ago, has been a huge hit. While there's already enough going in favour of this B1-segment hatchback,  here is an extensively modified Maruti Swift that really pulls on the heartstrings.

This Maruti Swift comes with a new black-and-white paint scheme, which makes it look a tad better than the regular model. The original bumper has given way to a sportier unit that comes from the Swift Sport, while the upper grille has been given a wire mesh treatment. All chrome elements have been removed to do away with the unnecessary bling.

In the side profile, the aftermarket skirts further enhance the car’s appearance and make it look lower. It now runs on chrome-finished multi-spoke aftermarket wheels shod with stickier and wider low-profile tyres. The rear-end now gets a huge roof-mounted black-painted spoiler. Even the rear bumper is new and looks far sportier than the regular version. It also holds an underbody spoiler. Moreover, a splitter is also integrated to the bumper to make the car more attractive. All of these changes help the vehicle look so attractive that it makes the stock version look pretty ordinary.

It is not known if any alterations are made to the powertrain of the car. The current-gen Maruti Swift keeps under its hood a naturally-aspirated petrol motor that displaces 1.2-litre. It produces a maximum power of 83 bhp and a peak torque of 115 Nm. The transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The petrol variant can deliver a fuel mileage of 20.4 kmpl, which makes it among the most frugal options in the market. Until recently, the Swift was even on sale with a diesel engine option, which used to be a 1.3-litre turbocharged unit that offered 75 PS and 190 Nm.
