Toyota Glanza is currently the smallest offering from the Japanese carmaker in the country. While in case you might not know, it is the re-badged Maruti Baleno. The Glanza is sold under the JV that was signed by Maruti and Toyota for sharing their products with each other. Similarly, Toyota is soon going to introduce the Maruti Vitara Brezza as Urban Cruiser in the Indian market. Talking of the Baleno, it is a handsome looking car and is praised for its overall driving experience. Heavily modified examples can often be seen on the road. However, this is the first time ever; we came across a nicely modified Toyota Glanza.

This Toyota Glanza in the pictures gets a slew of modifications on its side, which makes it look even better. To start with, it gets extended bumper lips at the front, while sportier skirts have been fixed on the sides. To upkeep the harmony, an aftermarket diffuser has been added to the rear. Also, two big pipes of the exhaust muffler can be seen peeping out of the rear diffuser. This Baleno now rides on a set of 18-inch 5-spoke white-painted rims. They are shod with 225 section rubber from Continental. These rims and tyres have been sourced from Crave Designs, who are located in Delhi.

Furthermore, this Maruti Baleno, err Toyota Glanza has been de-chromed with the use of golden inserts. The golden finish can be seen on the radiator grille surround, shark fin antenna, window line, ORVM cap, and boot lip. A Tri-colour theme is also used on this Glanza’s front bumper and door protectors.

Like the body shell, Toyota Glanza borrows its powertrain and drivetrain options from the Maruti Baleno. It gets a 1.2L K-series motor powering its wheel, which is offered in 2 states of tune, producing peak power outputs of 83 PS and 90 PS. The max torque, however, remains identical at 113 Nm. The gearbox options on the Glanza include a 5-speed MT and CVT. The prices for re-purposed Maruti Baleno – Toyota Glanza start at Rs. 7.01 lakh and go up to Rs. 8.96 lakh.
