New-Gen Honda City: How The Sedan Was Designed For India

Honda has recently released a new video of the fifth-gen City. The all-new C-sedan will compete with the likes of Hyundai Verna and Maruti Ciaz.

Honda City is one of the popularly known C-sedans in the Indian market. The car has been serving the Indian customers from a long time now, and with every generation, the automaker managed to make it better. The sedan competes with the likes of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz, VW Vento and Skoda Rapid. Now, the carmaker is all set to introduce the new fifth-gen model of the car in the coming days and here we have a new video from Honda Cars India official YouTube channel, which shows that how the car was actually made for Indian roads and streets.

The video starts by saying that the City is like a legend who has been present in Indian since 1998. Indians are very much passionate about their legends and this came as a challenge for the Honda engineers. They have come up with a new-gen model of the sedan which will not only be attracting the existing customers but the new customers as well. 
Honda engineers have tried to make the all-new sedan more spacious from inside which gives a big car like impression to the passengers. Outside, the fifth-gen City features bold styling, which makes it stand out in the crowd. Moreover, it also features lane change camera, which is a first in segment feature and is quite useful in Indian traffic conditions.

Inside, the all-new C-sedan comes loaded with features like an electric sunroof, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Mechanically, the all-new Honda sedan is powered by 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engine. The former puts out power and torque outputs of 121 P of power and 145 Nm of peak torque, while the latter churns out 100 PS and 200 Nm of twisting force. The petrol mill will comes paired with a 6-speed MT or a CVT, while the diesel version of the sedan will come mated to a 6-speed MT.
