As one can see in the comparison table above, the new-gen City is bigger than the new Verna facelift. It’s the biggest sedan in its segment. The new-gen City is expected to have a strong road presence, however, the design of the new Verna is still the sportiest in its segment. The Korean automaker offers the 2020 Verna in five distinctive engine-transmission combinations, while fifth-gen City will be launched in three such options.

Hyundai Verna is the only sedan in its segment, which is offered in a diesel automatic variant. The new-gen City will likely get a diesel automatic option at a later stage. The 2020 Honda City features the most potent gasoline engine in its segment. On the other hand, the new Verna facelift will continue being the C2-segment sedan with the most powerful diesel motor. The new Honda City is being sold in a price range of Rs 10.89-14.64 lakh (ex-showroom), while the refreshed Hyundai Verna is available from Rs 9.3-15.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
